News (12-4-2003): eReserve 1.5 Final has obviously been substantially delayed. This is due to the fact that the upgrade is actually becoming a far larger process than I originally envisioned. Rather than just including a few new features, this is becoming a complete redesign of the user-level system, with very substantial changes to the network infrastructure and server modules. Because of the size of this upgrade, eReserve 1.5 is not going to be released, rather I am going to skip directly ahead to eReserve 2.0. Because the project is in such a transition phase, I will not be making the anticipated regular releases in between major versions. This final version has no release schedule. I will finish it when I finish it. If you are interested in helping, I would love some assistance. If you are interested in following the development process closely, download the development documents and keep an eye on feature requests being closed.

News (7-15-2003): eReserve 1.5 Final is on schedule for a mid-August, 2003 Release! Please start checking back here beginning on August 10, 2003! This release will include dozens of new features, bugfixes, improved stability, increased security, and new documentation.

As eReserve has only recently become publicly available, the current beta releases are not very polished and are recommended only for proficient computer users for testing purposes.

The software should function on essentially any Windows system, but it has only been tested on Windows 98 and Windows 2000 Professional.

PLEASE NOTE: This version of the software should NOT be used in any environments where security is of high importance, as passwords and data are NOT encrypted when transmitted across the network. Limited encryption will be enabled when eReserve has reached its first full release.

PLEASE NOTE: eReserve is currently in a beta development stage. This means that while the software is expected to run relatively well on most machines, there is a reasonable likelihood of instability. This software may crash your machine. Please use with caution.

For installation instructions and assistance using the software, please see the documentation page. If you think you may have encountered a bug, or are trying to deal with an issues not covered in the documentation section, please either fill out a bug report or a technical support query.

Most users should download the first file listed below. It is the most recent binary release of the software. Advanced users and programmers may wish to also download the accompanying source release. Development information will be available shortly.
